Stealth Monitoring is Proud to Announce FAST Security Technicians of the Year, Calvin Sprague and Peter Gagne

The Foundation for Advancing Security Technology (FAST) awards Security Technician of the Year to an eligible member of the Security Industry Association or the Electronic Security Association who has been nominated and submitted for selection to a committee of volunteers from SIA’s and ESA’s membership bodies. This award is a true honor to receive, and Stealth is thrilled to announce not one, but two 2024 Security Technician of the Year recipients: Stealth Monitoring’s own Calvin Sprague and Peter Gagne!

Calvin has been an invaluable member of our company for nearly two years, and his extensive experience of 25 years in the service industry has proven to be an incredible asset. He is the most deserving recipient of this award for numerous reasons, but foremost among them is his instrumental role in propelling the Northeast Regional Team to become the leading team within the company. Calvin’s dedication, extensive knowledge, and team-focused approach have earned him the admiration and respect of his colleagues and clients alike. 

Every member of his team feels fortunate to have Calvin assisting on their installations, frequently requesting his expertise. Clients, too, have come to rely on Calvin’s guidance, with many specifically requesting his presence during site walks for new contracts. One such client is Cirona Labs, a property in New York, whose testimony speaks volumes about Calvin’s exceptional service.

Calvin’s willingness to go above and beyond is exemplified by his readiness to work extended hours to ensure that offline sites and cameras are promptly brought back online, enabling continuous monitoring of our clients’ security systems. His exceptional service, coupled with his notable contributions to both the Service and Installation Departments, is a testament to his extensive knowledge and expertise.

Peter’s professional journey is marked by his significant contributions in both installation and service. His cross-training in these areas highlights his ability to handle complex security challenges. He is recognized for his determination to understand and resolve the root causes of service issues, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively. 

More than just technical skills, Peter is known for his outstanding commitment to customer service, eagerness to share knowledge, and a genuine passion for innovation. These qualities not only set him apart from his peers but also make him a respected figure in the industry. 

Peter’s influence reaches far beyond his everyday responsibilities. He actively mentors new technicians and subcontractors, enhancing their skills and confidence. He has also developed comprehensive installation process guidelines and training presentations that have become valuable resources within the industry. His pioneering techniques for both fixed and mobile security camera sites, along with his thorough communication on each service call, are vital contributions that benefit the entire field. 

Peter Gagne embodies the ideal mix of technical proficiency, client dedication, and innovative spirit, making him an excellent choice for Security Camera Technician of the Year. His work not only improves individual security setups but also significantly advances the standards and practices of the security camera industry.
